Ten years ago, Hero MotoCorp launched Impulse in the Indian market. It wasn’t very successful and many would say it was ahead of its time. Then the Hero XPulse 200 came out in 2019, and the bike did pretty well. After the lockdown, however, sales started to pick up as people started exploring the trails and the XPulse 200 became their weekend bike.

Hero MotoCorp now offers the XPulse 200 4V in standard and professional versions.

Since then, the manufacturer updated the XPulse 200 with a 4-valve engine, and they also introduced a Rally Edition of the motorcycle, which was an immediate hit. Now, the brand has launched an updated version of the XPulse 200 in the Indian market with quite a few updates. Here are five things to know about the 2023 Hero XPulse 200.

2023 Hero XPulse 200 4V: Pro Edition

The biggest update XPulse has received is the introduction of the Pro variant. It’s a more hardcore version of the standard variant. The Xpulse 200 4V Pro features fully adjustable front and rear suspension with 250mm and 220mm of travel respectively. Thanks to a new suspension setup, ground clearance has increased to 270mm and seat height has increased to 850mm. To solve this problem, the brand equipped the motorcycle with longer side stands. Beyond that, the Pro variant also comes with an extended shifter and handlebar risers.

2023 Hero XPulse 200 4V: Color schemes

The XPulse 200 4V is available in a two-tone color scheme. Available in Matte Nexus Blue, Techno Blue and Black Sports Red. The Pro variant is offered in the Rally Edition graphics scheme.

2023 Hero XPulse 200 4V: What’s New

Hero MotoCorp has updated the LED headlights to a new unit with a projector setup. It comes with new LED daytime running lights, which the brand claims have a 230 percent increase in light intensity. The USB ports have now been relocated. Earlier it used to be under the seat, which meant it was difficult to access, and now the port is under the instrument cluster. Speaking of the instrument cluster, it’s also been slightly updated, and it also gets a new switchgear. Hero also added a taller windshield and knuckle guards to the motorcycle.

2023 Hero XPulse 200 4V: ABS Mode

Hero MotoCorp has added three new ABS modes to the XPulse 200. There are Road, Off-road and Rally. In road mode the ABS is tuned for dry surfaces, in off-road mode the ABS intervention is reduced, and in rally the ABS is switched off completely. Notably, the motorcycle continues to be only available with single-channel ABS.

2023 Hero XPulse 200 4V: Price

The 2023 Hero XPulse 200 4V is priced at ¥1,43,516 for the base variant while the Pro variant costs ¥1,50,891. Both prices are ex-showroom prices.
