Yamaha Motor India has launched the 2023 Aerox.The price of the scooter is now ¥1,42,800 Ex-showroom, Derry. For 2023, the Aerox gets a new silver color scheme. In addition, Yamaha also sells Aerox in three colors, namely metallic black, racing blue and cinnabar gray. Another big addition for 2023 is traction control, a segment-first feature for scooters.
The Yamaha Aerox is now E20 fuel compliant and also comes with an OBD-II system. Additionally, the scooter now comes standard with a hazard switch. The engine has not changed. It continued with a 155cc Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). It’s the same engine found on the Yamaha R15, but retuned to fit the Aerox 155’s character. It now works with a CVT transmission. The engine has a power output of 14.8 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 13.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

In terms of equipment, Aerox is equipped with LED headlights with LED positioning lights, LED taillights, power sockets for charging mobile devices in the front row, multi-function keys and an external fuel tank cover. There’s also 24.5 liters of under-seat storage. Owners can get LED turn indicators as original equipment.
In terms of hardware, 14-inch alloy wheels, 140-section rear tires, front telescopic front forks, and rear dual air-filled shock absorbers. Yamaha doesn’t seem to have made any changes to the suspension setup, which has always been one of the Aerox 155’s weak points. Braking duties are performed by 230 mm discs at the front and 130 mm drums at the rear. Safety features on offer are anti-lock brakes and side-mounted engine cut-off.
