A Tesla Model 3 has survived a horrific tree crash almost unscathed.details here

Tesla’s Model 3 seems to have something to boast about. Although the entire tree fell on top of the Tesla Model 3, the Tesla Model 3 was almost unharmed. The incident took place in the Netherlands. A post on Twitter has revealed how a Tesla Model 3 unexpectedly survived a storm in the European country last week.

Photos shared by the Twitter post showed a large tree lying on top of the Tesla Model 3, with storm debris scattered around it. In this case, the car is likely to be crushed by the weight of the tree. However, this particular all-electric compact sedan apparently suffered little damage. There have been several reports of trees falling and crushing Tesla vehicles in the past. But the latest incident appears to be a rare case of an electric car intact.

The Tesla app reportedly notified the EV owner of the incident via an alert, and the owner then used Sentry Mode, activating the car’s cameras for remote monitoring. He found a whole tree lying on top of his car. Also, as the tweet indicated, no one was injured in the incident. From the outside, the only visible damage to the car is a slightly dented rear roof section, while from the inside, the rear windshield appears to be completely shattered, with shards of glass lying on the rear wrap tray.

While the tree may not be the heaviest tree, the event is certainly worth highlighting the structural strength of the Tesla Model 3. For four consecutive years between 2019 and 2022, the electric vehicle has been named one of the safest vehicles by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The electric carmaker uses a mix of high-strength and ultra-high-strength steels in the core structural components of its vehicles.

As early as 2018, Tesla claimed that in the event of a rollover, the Model 3’s body structure can withstand a roof extrusion load equivalent to more than four times its own weight, and the structural deformation is very small.
