Simple Energy has finally confirmed that they will be launching the Simple One electric scooter on May 23rd. The launch event will be held in Bangalore. The company claims that the Simple One will be one of the few electric two-wheelers that will offer the longest range and dampen customer anxiety about range. Simple calls the One “the first affordable premium electric car in the country.”
Over the past two years, the brand has worked to comply with the Automotive Industry Standard (AIS) 156 Amendment 3 battery standard. The manufacturer also stated that they have been vigorously testing their products under the most demanding conditions for the past two years.
The Simple One has received a lot of attention for its claimed range of 236km, and it can accelerate from 0-40km/h in 2.77 seconds. The Simple One has a top speed of 105 km/h.When Simple One was first released, it was priced at ¥Standard and 110,000 ¥The Extra Range version is 145,000. However, prices are now expected to rise.
It has a battery capacity of 4.8 kWh and is paired with an 8.5 kW electric motor that produces a peak torque output of 72 Nm. The scooter is equipped with CBS and disc brakes. The scooter is also very practical, with a proper floor and 30 liters of under-seat storage.
Simple Energy will sell the Simple One in four color schemes. Available in Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue and Grace White. There’s also a touchscreen dashboard that controls the scooter’s various functions, and it’s also app-connected.
