The Trident 660 has been updated with a new Matt Bajaj Orange paint scheme for a fresh new look.

The new matte Baja Orange/matte Storm Gray will be sold alongside an existing set of color options such as Silver Ice/Diablo Red, Matte Black/Silver Ice and Sapphire Black. Apart from the new colour, other details of the motorcycle remain the same.

At the heart of the new bike is the same 660cc inline three-cylinder engine, delivering 79.8bhp at 10,250rpm and 64Nm of torque at 6,250rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with assist and a slipper clutch as standard.

The bike also continues to feature ride modes, a Bluetooth instrument cluster and full LED lighting. The Trident 660 remains one of the best equipped bikes in the segment. It is a major competitor to other bikes like the Kawasaki Z650 and Honda CB650R.

Meanwhile, the previous Trident 660 device was recalled earlier this year due to a manufacturing defect. According to the recall document issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Trident’s side brackets were manufactured using raw materials of incorrect specifications. The faulty part was supplied by Fujin Corporation Pvt Ltd, Faridabad, Haryana. While the recall filing only concerns 314 devices in the US, devices retailing in India are also affected by the latest recall. (read full details here)
