Commenting on the sales growth in November, Ather Energy’s chief commercial officer Ravneet Singh Phokela said the figures also point to an annual decline in sales after the festive season. He further said this was a seasonal trend rather than a reflection of underlying demand. “November demonstrated an annual trend of declining post-holiday sales. This is a seasonal trend rather than a reflection of underlying demand. We have retained market share and expect the industry to rebound and continue growth in January 2023. Expected consumption Demand is strong and we recently opened a second manufacturing facility in Hosur, which we believe will play a key role in our next phase of growth,” he added. Phokela further said that Ather added nine retail stores in November and now has 73 experience centers in 59 cities across the country.

The brand’s Ather 450X is a key product in the expansive Indian electric two-wheeler segment, where it competes with rivals such as the Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.
