The “Charge my Audi” function allows drivers to plan their route in advance, identify charging stations along the way and check the availability of these charging terminals. The feature also allows them to start and stop charges and pay for services through a single payment gateway. It also lets them check the real-time charging status of the vehicle.

The new feature is designed to make things easier for customers who own electric vehicles, as it eliminates the hassle of downloading multiple apps for different charging stations. “We are constantly evaluating and introducing solutions for our customers to make the ownership experience hassle-free. Charge My Audi is a one-of-a-kind industry-first program that maximizes customer convenience,” said Audi India Head Said Balbir Singh Dhillon.

The platform is powered by Numocity Technology’s eMSP roaming solution. It allows e-tron drivers to initiate the charging process using a mobile app, while the automatic identification and billing process runs simultaneously.

Audi India’s electric vehicle portfolio currently has models like e-tron 50, e-tron 55, e-tron Sportback 55, e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT. The brand is gearing up to launch the new Audi Q8 e-tron in the country later this year.
