The BYD Seal is a premium electric product that competes with the Tesla Model 3 in the global market. The model measures 4,800mm long, 1,875mm wide and 1,460mm high. Its design is derived from the Ocean X concept car shown in 2021. The model features a low-slung design and an aerodynamic body with a drag coefficient of just 0.21 cd. The Seal’s front is also feature-rich, with crystal LED headlights with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs and full-width LED taillights running the full length of the decklid.

The center console houses the drive selector and AC vents, as well as two wireless charging pads.

The BYD Seal is based on the automaker’s specific e-Platform 3.0 and works with the Blade battery pack. Globally, there are two battery options – 61.4 kWh and 82.5 kWh. The former has a range of 550 km on a single charge, while the latter has a range of 700 km (CLTC). The latter is likely to make its way to the Indian market this year. BYD also offers up to 150 kW fast charging capability for the larger battery pack, while the smaller pack is compatible with up to 110 kW fast chargers.
