It’s worth noting that the TRK 502 series has seen a price increase of almost $100,000 since the BS6 update was launched in the country. $4.8 lakhs (ex-showroom). That said, prices for motorcycles of all kinds have gone up. The TRK 502 series arrives in India in complete knockdown (CKD) form, while Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) locally assembles and retails it at its factory near Hyderabad.

The Benelli TRK 502 and TRK 502X are middleweight adventure tourers powered by a 500 cc parallel twin cylinder liquid cooled engine producing 47 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 46 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The price increase will not change the specifications.

The TRK 502 is available in four paint finishes – dark grey, white, green and black. The TRK 502X is also available in four colors – dark grey, white, green and yellow.Yellow shades are more expensive, but $Rs. 6.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). In terms of equipment, the motorcycle features new backlit switchgear, semi-digital instrument console, knuckle guards, split seats and more. The TRK 502 rides on alloy wheels, while the more off-road-spec TRK 502X gets spoked wheels.

Other hardware components include a 20-liter fuel tank, front 50mm USD forks and rear monoshock suspension. The bike also features dual 320mm discs at the front and 260mm discs at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is switchable as standard on the motorcycle. The TRK 502 and TRK 502X compete in this segment with the Moto Morini X-Cape, Kawasaki Versys 650 and Honda CB500X.
