BMW Motorrad recently launched the M 1000 RR in the Indian market. The motorcycle will be shipped to India as a CBU (Complete Manufacturing Unit). The manufacturer is already taking pre-orders, with deliveries starting in November 2023. Here are five things to know about the BMW M 1000 RR.

BMW M 1000 RR: Engine
The engine of the M 1000 RR is a 999 cc four-cylinder with water/oil cooling and BMW ShiftCam technology. It develops 210 bhp at 14,500 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm. The gearbox in action is a 6-speed unit with slipper and auxiliary clutches.
BMW M 1000 RR: M Competition Package
BMW also offers the M Competition package. It adds the M Endurance Chain, M GPS-Laptrigger, Passenger Kit and M Billet Pack in a special Black Storm Metallic/M Motorsport color scheme. In addition to this, there is also the Carbon Pack, which adds carbon parts such as rear fenders, aero wheel covers, air box cover, fuel tank cover, chain guard, sprocket cover and seat cover.

BMW M 1000 RR: Features
The M 1000 RR is versatile. It comes with Dynamic Traction Control, ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Lights, Heated Grips, Color TFT Screen, Full LED Lighting, USB Ports for Mobile Device Charging, Cruise Control and Drop Sensors. Beyond that, there’s an on-board computer, riding modes, adjustable levers, dynamic engine brake control, hill-start assist, launch control, slide control, wheelie control, and more.
BMW M 1000 RR: Hardware
Suspension functions are performed by a 45mm upside-down fork at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear. Both are adjustable for compression and rebound. The swingarm is made of aluminum and BMW Motorrad uses 17-inch carbon wheels. The front tire size is 120/70 and the rear tire size is 200/55. Braking duties are performed by twin 320 mm discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear.

BMW M 1000 RR: prices and models
The M 1000 RR is available in two models – Standard and Competition.They sell for $4.9 million and $5.5 lakhs respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom prices.
