BMW will take the wraps off the next-generation 5 Series sedan later this month. Of even greater interest to car enthusiasts is the upcoming i5 EV, which will be based on the next-generation BMW 5 Series sedan and is scheduled to debut on May 24. Ahead of its official unveiling, the German luxury car brand has teased the upcoming EV in a teaser video posted on its social platforms.
The latest teaser video released by BMW reveals the illuminated kidney grille and ambient lighting of the upcoming BMW i5 EV. The teaser video also gives us a sneak peek at the new EV’s front profile design and sleek interior. The exterior teaser shows off the silhouette of the i5 and lighting elements of the front profile. As it’s been teased, the EV will feature sleek LED headlights positioned high in the face with illuminated kidney grilles.
There’s another teaser that reveals more, showing off a portion of the dashboard that spans the screen and ambient lighting elements from the doors to the dashboard. Both teasers are accompanied by the whirring sound of the electric motors, indicating the purely electric nature of the car.
