Since its first launch in 1997, the Hero Splendor has seen strong sales. It is known for fuel efficiency, affordability, low maintenance and reliability. Hero MotoCorp now has several versions of Splendor. Although the original Splendor is no longer sold, it has been replaced by the Splendor Plus, here are five things you should know.
Hero Splendor Plus: Price and variants
Splendor Plus is priced between ¥72,076 and ¥74,396, depending on which variant the person chooses. Both prices are ex-showroom prices. As of now, there are four Splendor Plus variants on sale.
Glory of Heroes Plus: Engine
Powering the Splendor Plus is a 97.2 cc air-cooled four-stroke single cylinder engine producing 7.91 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It is paired with a 4-speed gearbox. The engine does come with fuel injection.

Hero Splendor Plus: Hardware
Hero MotoCorp uses tubular dual cradles for the Splendor Plus. The frame is suspended by telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear with 5 levels of adjustability. Braking duties are handled by 130 mm drum brakes at the front and rear. The motorcycle is equipped with an integrated braking system.
Hero Splendor Plus: Features
In terms of features, there are alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, halogen lights and an electric starter. Plus, there’s i3S technology, which automatically shuts down the engine after a few seconds and starts it up when the clutch is depressed.

Hero Splendor Plus: Colors
Hero MotoCorp offers a variety of color schemes for the Splendor Plus. Available in Silver Nexus Blue, Black with Silver, Black with Red, Black with Purple, Matte Shield Gold, Heavy Gray Green, Firefly Golden, Beetle Red, and Bumble Bee Yellow. Then there are three new colors of ruby red, sunshine yellow and butterfly yellow.
