Nyland notes that the Atto 3 can exceed the WLTP range rating in good weather at 25°C. He noted that at 90 km/h or 56 mph, the average energy consumption was 134 Wh/km or 216 Wh/mile. Combined with an estimated usable battery capacity of 59.6 kWh, this translates to a range of up to 445 kilometers or 277 miles.

Recently, BYD Atto 3 also received a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. It scored 91 percent for the adult protection and 89 percent for the child safety section. In the Safety Assist section, the EV scored 74 percent. The five-door electric SUV is packed with safety features such as seven airbags in top-spec. It also has Level 2 ADAS capabilities, making it one of the safest electric SUVs available.

Euro NCAP crash tests the left-hand drive (LHD) version of the car, but ratings also apply to right-hand drive (RHD) models. The tests showed BYD’s Atto 3 electric SUV remained stable in the frontal offset test.
