Chinese new energy automaker BYD has announced the delivery of its 3 millionth vehicle, which happens to be an all-electric vehicle. The 3 millionth vehicle delivered by the Chinese automaker was the BYD Seal, one of its highly anticipated electric sedans. The automaker claims that it took 13 years to deliver the first 1 million new energy vehicles, and just one year for the next 1 million new energy vehicles. What’s even more interesting is that it only took six months to go from the 2 million to the 3 million milestone. The automaker claimed that this growth rate shows that the automaker is actively promoting new energy vehicles.

The automaker also claims that it will build out its brand matrix, including five different sub-brands Dynasty, Ocean, Denza and Yangwang, as well as a new brand focused on professional and personal identity.
The auto brand further stated that this milestone event is an important achievement in the development of new energy vehicles around the world. The car company claims to have demonstrated a huge acceleration in the new energy vehicle industry, promoting rapid changes in global green mobility.
Talking about the company’s achievements and new milestones, BYD Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu said that in the face of future industrial changes and changing consumption trends, BYD will continue to focus on technological innovation. “In addition, BYD will continue to meet people’s pursuit of a better life with leading technologies and diversified products,” said Wang Chuanfu.
BYD has entered the Indian market and currently sells two different pure electric vehicles in the country. The first BYD product in the Indian market is the e6 electric MPV and the second model is the Atto 3 EV. The BYD e6 is initially available to corporate buyers. Later, however, the automaker opened up sales of the EV to individual car buyers as well.
