Tata Motors has a dominant position in the electric vehicle space in India, with a wide range of battery-powered vehicles. While the Nexon EV is a hit, other models, such as the longer-range Nexon EV Max, Tiago EV hatchback and Tigor EV sedan, continue to dominate the small but important market. To further strengthen its connection with existing owners, while also reaching out to potential buyers, the company has announced a new program called Evolve.
Tata Motors’ Evolve program aims to focus on multiple areas – from customer-centric activities, including experience-driven, to swap and upgrade programmes.
To kick off the whole initiative, the company has announced a unique referral program aimed at accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in the country. According to a press statement issued by the company, existing Tata EV owners can win guaranteed gifts and benefits as each referral is converted into the purchase of an EV from the brand. Those with the most successful referrals for the company can also win curated travel packages.
So far, the entire referral program has been launched in 13 cities in India. The list includes Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Jaipur, Trivandrum, Coimbatore and Visakhapa tenam. With the gradual expansion of the programme, Tata Motors is looking to build a holistic community for its EV owners. Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Vehicles Electric Vehicles Limited, said: “India’s electric vehicle revolution was spearheaded by Tata Motors, but the real impetus for the movement is Driven by our customers.” EVOLVE is our extended effort to further increase this engagement and reward our brand ambassadors for helping us become No. 1 in India. 1 Manufacturer of electric vehicles.
