Italian two-wheeler maker Ducati has announced that the 2023 DesertX will come with turn-by-turn navigation. The new feature will be available first on the Matt Star White Silk and “RR22” camouflage. The manufacturer also added navigation to the Diavel V4, which they say will be available on other models as well.
Ducati offers turn-by-turn navigation as a Ducati Performance accessory. The TFT display can show navigation guidance via the Ducati multimedia system. Ducati says the feature can be activated at the time of bike purchase or afterwards.
Route guidance is calculated by the Ducati Link app, so no external design is required to use the navigation functions.
The system relies on a Bluetooth connection between a smartphone (iOS or Android) between the bike and headsets on the rider’s and passenger’s helmets, and via the Ducati Multimedia System (accessory sold separately), the system displays on the dashboard information about the phone, Notification of messages/emails received and listening to music on your smartphone.
