The Eckes-Granini Group supports the philanthropic engagement of Europe’s most ambitious charity cycling project.

Since 2002, when employees of Rynkeby Foods A/S decided to cycle to Paris for a good cause, the Team Rynkeby project has become the largest bicycle charity event in Europe. In 2019, more than 2,000 cyclists from 7 countries took part in the initiative and raised €10.6 million for children with serious illnesses. Eckes-Granini has been the main sponsor of the Rynkeby team since 2016 when Rynkeby Foods A/S joined the Eckes-Granini group. Success in 2019: record donations and German participation
2019 was a particularly successful year. 2,000 cyclists from seven countries, including 55 participants from Germany, traveled at their own expense from Niederholm to Paris via Koblenz and Bonn. The Eckes-Granini Group, which owns the Rynkeby, God Morgon and hohes C brands, acted as main sponsor and therefore covered all costs of organizing the charity event, meaning 100% of the proceeds went to local partner organisations. The German team took to the starting line for the first time this year. Local organizations dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families benefit from donations collected each year. The Rynkeby team begins by supporting international institutions that meet the needs of cancer patients and work on the research and treatment of a variety of cancers. For example, in Denmark, donations were made to the childhood cancer organization Børnecancerfonden. A total of 160,000 euros was donated to the Deutsche Kinderkrebshilfe.
