Suzuki Motorcycle India has updated some products in its lineup to be E20 fuel compliant. The Suzuki V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 Series and Burgman Street EX will now be able to run on gasoline with up to 20 percent ethanol. Other products from the brand such as the Gixxer line, Access 125, Burgman Street and Avenis are already marketed as E20 compliant products.

The most recently updated models – the V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 Series and Burgman Street EX – will be available at all Suzuki Premium dealerships in the third week of June as part of the E20 compliant lineup. These two-wheelers are also now compliant with the latest emission standards, which means the two-wheelers are equipped with an on-board diagnostic system that detects emissions in real time.

The unit also helps detect system malfunctions and illuminates the console lights on the dashboard if there is any malfunction in the vehicle. Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “This is a more tangible step in line with our commitment to making models that contribute to sustainability and provide an exceptional riding experience.”
The company has recently updated the Gixxer range for the Indian market with Gixxer, Gixxer SF, Gixxer 250 and Gixxer 250 SF models. The range gets feature additions and cosmetic updates along with new color options. Suzuki didn’t make any changes to the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer’s engine or transmission. The 250 Twins use a 250 cc oil-cooled engine producing 26 bhp and a peak torque output of 22.2 Nm. It is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox.
In another development, the company recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Bajaj Finance Limited (BFL) to provide financing solutions to customers purchasing its two-wheelers. BFL is the lending arm of Bajaj Finserv Limited.
