Valtteri Bottas is now the owner of a limited edition Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm. The Finnish Formula 1 driver collected his new car at the Stellantis & You showroom in Turin, Italy.
It meant Bottas joined an exclusive club, getting one of 500 examples of Alfa Romeo’s strongest mass-produced car.
We suspect driving for the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team will help him get to the front of the line.

Giulia GTAm and slightly less hardcore GTA version revealed alfa romeo For 2020, pay homage to the classic 1965 Giulia GTA.
The GTAm is a track-focused model with Lexan polycarbonate rear and side windows. Alfa Romeo has also removed the rear seats, helping to reduce the Giulia’s curb weight by 100kg.
Power comes from a 2.9-liter Ferrari-produced twin-turbo V6. With 540hp, the GTAm can accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds. It might feel a bit slow for Valtteri compared to his company’s cars, but…
Development of the Giulia GTAm was carried out by former Formula 1 drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi during their time at Alfa Romeo.

Speaking about collecting his new cars, Bottas said: “I’m obviously a lifelong car enthusiast. But above all, I love the Alfa Romeo brand. I’m honored to be an ambassador for the brand, and now a customer, with 500 One of the Giulia GTAms.
“It is a technically remarkable vehicle, achieved in collaboration with Sauber Engineering by utilizing expertise and know-how directly from Formula 1, but for us car and motorsport enthusiasts it represents so much more.
“It recreates one of the legends of motorsport, the 1965 Giulia GTA, and perfectly embodies the brand’s DNA, passion for motorsport, driving pleasure and unique and distinctive styling appeal.”
Giulia GTAm buyers are entitled to a special course designed by the Alfa Romeo Driving Academy. A 10-time grand prix winner, Bottas may decide to forego that.
