The Harley-Davidson X 440 was co-developed with Hero MotoCorp.

Powering the Harley-Davidson X 440 is an oil-cooled 440 cc single-cylinder engine. Power and torque figures are unknown as of now. However, given the engine’s displacement, expect a power figure of 25-30 bhp and a torque output of over 30 Nm. A previous teaser image showed the engine’s redline at 8,000 rpm, so it could be a long-stroke engine. That means the engine will be tuned for low-range and mid-range grunt. Motorcycles use a chain drive as the final drive.

The motorcycle’s braking duties will be handled by front and rear disc brakes. Dual-channel ABS will also be offered. Suspension duties will be performed by upside-down forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. There’s a circular digital instrument cluster, and to control it, there’s a new switchgear.

The Harley-Davidson X440 was designed as a roadster. At the front there is a round headlamp, a square fuel tank, alloy wheels and a rectangular LED tail lamp. Ergonomically, the riding position is expected to be very neutral, with the footpegs in the middle position and the handlebars flat. That means Harley won’t be opting for a retro theme this time around. Instead, it will be a modern roadster. The motorcycle’s tires are from MRF and the wheels measure 18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear.
