Hero Electric launched the Optima CX5.0 (dual battery), Optima CX2.0 (single battery) and NYX CX5.0 (dual battery) electric scooters in India on Wednesday. Prices for Hero Electric Comfort and City speed scooter are between ¥85,000-95,000 and ¥105,000-130,000 respectively. The new Optima CX5.0 is available in Deep Matt Blue and Matt Maroon, while the Optima CX.20 is available in Deep Matt Blue and Carbon Black. The electric two-wheeler brand says the NYX will be available in Carbon Black and Pearl White.

Hero Electric has launched Optima CX5.0 (dual battery), Optima CX2.0 (single battery) and NYX CX5.0 (dual battery) electric scooters in India.

Hero Electric claims that the new range of electric scooters uses cutting-edge Japanese motor technology to ensure a smooth ride. Additionally, they are said to feature German ECU technology for precise performance. Speaking about the e-scooter launch, Hero Electric CEO Sohinder Gill said the company’s diverse product portfolio has been delivering a strong value proposition to cater to the various mobility needs of discerning Indian consumers. He also claimed that the new range of electric vehicles was designed based on feedback from more than 600,000 consumers. Gill further added that the new range of EVs comes with powertrains that have been developed to convert nearly every drop of battery power into useful energy for the scooter. “The secret lies in a super-intelligent closed-loop synchronization system that senses every tiny change in load and road conditions in real time to deliver just the right amount of energy without causing any waste.
