Power, says Hero, comes from an updated 109 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine tuned for 8 bhp and 8.7 Nm of peak torque, mated to a CVT setup. The scooter Hero Xoom weighs 109 kg and has telescoping front forks and a single shock absorber at the rear.price from ¥68,599 for the base LX variant, rising to ¥76,699 for the top-spec ZX variant. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

The Hero Xoom competes primarily with the Honda Dio in this segment, but will also compete with the Honda Activa 6G and TVS Jupiter 110 models. The Xoom aims to bring some freshness to a segment whose offerings have been largely conservative. That said, the company is betting that existing demand for gasoline-powered scooters will sustain sales despite the emergence of electric scooters in the space. The Xoom is priced competitively, which does give it an edge over the competition.
