Hero’s Vida builds out its EV fast-charging network: Find out which cities are first to get it

Vida, an electric two-wheeler brand owned by Hero MotoCorp, has announced the first fast charging network in the country. The company is first building EV charging infrastructure in cities like Bengaluru, Delhi and Jaipur. Note that the company has also started deliveries of its V1 electric scooters in these cities.

Vida said it has nearly 300 charging points across 50 locations in Bengaluru, Delhi and Jaipur for public use. The brand has started sales in the above three cities, and the extensive charging network will ensure the convenience of charging for customers. Vida says its fast-charging network allows V1 e-scooter owners to charge their batteries at a speed of 1.2 km/min. Each charging station will be equipped with DC and AC charging outlets.

Dr. Swadesh Srivastava, Head of Hero MotoCorp’s Emerging Mobility Business Unit (EMBU), said: “Before we started delivering Vida V1 in all three cities, we had installed Vida’s world-class EV charging infrastructure. With our brand promise of “Automotive Ecosystem”, we ensure a smooth and hassle-free transition to electric vehicles for our customers. VIDA World has been developed with sustainability at its core and a technology-first philosophy. We believe in our customers’ experience with the VIDA Ecosystem, Including products, services and charging infrastructure will meet global standards. We are now planning to expand our ecosystem to other cities.

On the ‘My Vida’ mobile app, customers can find the nearest Vida charging station and check their availability, book a charging slot and navigate to a charging station from the app. Payments can also be made using the app itself. Vida calls it building a “hassle-free EV ecosystem.”

The Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro are the company’s first electric products. This electric scooter has functions such as cruise control, acceleration mode, two-way throttle, keyless entry, OTA update, 7-inch TFT screen and more than 100 combinations of custom modes. Customers can test drive the Vida V1 at the company’s experience centers in Bengaluru and Jaipur, while there is a pop-up store in Delhi.

In addition, Vida offers a variety of financing options including easy EMI, low interest rates and a buy-back option at 70% of purchase value over a 16-18 month ownership period with on-site repairs. Potential customers can also take up to three days of test drives before booking a vehicle.
