The Benelli TRK 502 is also available in an off-road version called the TRK 502X, and Honda only sells a road version, the CB500X.

The 500 cc ADV motorcycle is a good choice because it packs a decent amount of punch, can pass quickly on the highway, can get out of trouble off-road, and doesn’t overwhelm you on city commutes . The most affordable 500 cc ADV is the Honda CB500X vs the Benelli TRK 502, here is a comparison between the two.

Honda CB500X vs Benelli TRK 502: Looks

In terms of appearance, the CB500X looks like a stripped-down version of the ADV. It doesn’t look like other hardcore ADVs with bulky body panels and full fairings. The CB500X has minimal design elements. There’s a small triangular LED headlight, a short beak, and a tall visor. The frame is highlighted because it is red. There’s a one-piece seat and a side-mounted exhaust. The taillights are also a compact unit, but luckily, they feature LED lighting.

On the other hand, looking at the TRK 502, it looks like a full-fledged ADV. That’s because of its muscular styling and front with split headlights, sharp beaks, roof racks and knuckle guards. So the Benelli does have more road presence than the 500X.

Honda CB500X vs Benelli TRK 502: Specifications

In terms of engine and gearbox, both motorcycles use a parallel twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine and a 6-speed gearbox. Benelli uses a 500 cc engine that puts out 47.5 PS at 8,500 rpm and 46 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The Honda uses a 471 cc unit that produces a maximum power of 47 Ps at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 43 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
