Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has started deliveries of the Shine 100 in Uttar Pradesh. The manufacturer delivered 500 of its most affordable motorcycles on the first day.The Honda Shine 100 is priced at ¥62,900 (ex-showroom, Uttar Pradesh). The brand also offers special deals on motorcycles.There is “100 PE 10”, which is a financing plan with benefits like zero document fee, no upfront EMI and processing fee only ¥1. In addition, Shine 100 also has a special 10-year warranty package (3-year standard + 7-year optional extended warranty).
The Shine 100 will be available in five colors – black with blue stripes, black with green stripes, black with gold stripes and black with gray stripes. It will go up against Hero Splendor+, Hero HF Deluxe, Bajaj Platina 100 and TVS Sport. According to Honda, the design of the Shine 100 was inspired by the Shine 125. It features full halogen lighting, an analog gauge cluster, one-piece seats and alloy wheels.

Powering the Shine 100 is an all-new 98.98 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. It produces 7.2 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 8.05 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The duty transmission is a 4 speed unit. The engine may have a small cubic capacity but it is very modern as it has fuel injection and ESP, is OB2 compliant and can also run on E20 fuel. For someone looking for a commuter motorcycle, fuel efficiency is very important. Honda has yet to officially reveal fuel efficiency figures for the Shine 100, although they claim the motorcycle offers “best-in-class mileage.”
