Last month, HMSI took a giant leap forward into the mass-market segment with the launch of the Shine 100. The entry-level commuter bike is Honda’s most affordable bike yet and takes on giant Hero MotoCorp in semi-urban and rural areas. The company has also updated several models, including the Activa 125 H-Smart, SP 125 and CB350 series, to the latest OBD2 complaint specifications.

In March, Honda also announced its EV strategy in India, promising to launch two new EVs by 2024. The company will also build charging infrastructure, including swap stations, to facilitate an easy transition to electric vehicles. While the manufacturer didn’t reveal details about its upcoming EV, the model is expected to be an electric version of the popular Activa 6G.
