Hop Electric has started deliveries of Oxo electric motorcycles, with Jaipur getting the first batch of vehicles. The manufacturer says it has delivered 2,500 units to customers in the city and has more than 10,000 pre-orders since its launch earlier this year. Hop Electric said the Oxo had received more than 50,000 interest since the price was announced two months ago.

Speaking about the commencement of deliveries, Rajneesh Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, Hop Electric, said, “We thank our customers for welcoming our new product, the Hop Oxo high-speed electric motorcycle with open arms. We are committed to making sustainable mobility a reality at a cost-effective price point. It is very easy to get. It is good to see customers unleash their desire to own the first vehicles. Apart from Jaipur, we will soon start deliveries in other states – Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Telangan Narbonne, West Bengal, etc.”
Hop Electric said deliveries were delayed due to new changes to FAME II program guidelines. The company said it would rapidly expand production to meet demand.Electric products are priced from ¥125k (ex-showroom after subsidy) and available in variants – Oxo and Oxo X. Positioned as a practical urban commuter, the e-bike features full LED lighting, a 5-inch IP67-rated digital display and connectivity via Bluetooth as well as vehicle telematics.

Power comes from a 6.2 kW (8.3 bhp) electric motor that produces 200 Nm of peak torque. The motor is powered by a 3.75 kWh battery pack and has a range of 150 kilometers (claimed) on a single charge. The Hop Oxo is capable of a 0-40 km/h sprint in just 4 seconds and a top speed of 90 km/h. Regarding charging time, the Oxo can be charged to 80 percent in four hours using a standard 15-amp electrical outlet. The bike has three riding modes – Eco, Power and Sport.
