HUBER+SUHNER | HUBER+SUHNER appointed by the largest automotive supplier as development and production partner for radar antennas

HUBER+SUHNER has been awarded the contract to manufacture and supply radar antennas for autonomous driving to Bosch.

Autonomous driving is considered one of the forms of mobility with great future potential. Bosch, the world’s largest automotive supplier, has appointed HUBER+SUHNER as a partner for the development and production of antennas for radar sensors for assisted and autonomous driving.

One of the prerequisites for autonomous driving is the faithful mapping of the vehicle’s surroundings by means of radar. HUBER+SUHNER 3D antenna technology is based on metallized plastic and plays a decisive role in ensuring that driver assistance systems can detect the position, relative speed and direction of movement of other road users and objects at long distances and even at high speeds with maximum reliability.

Decisive factors for the cooperation between Bosch and HUBER+SUHNER were the product and process development capabilities and the possibility of a one-stop shop from engineering to series production.

With this nomination, HUBER+SUHNER has reached another milestone in the implementation of its growth strategy for the automotive market. Last year, the company was able to start series production, supplying radar antennas to a leading manufacturer of driver assistance systems.
