iVoomi S1 range of electric scooters launched, promises 240km range

Mumbai-based iVoomi Energy has launched new variants of its S1 electric scooter with the launch of the S1 80, S1 100 and S1 240. Ivoomi S1 series has been upgraded to meet different needs, the price is from ¥69,999, rising to ¥121,000 (ex-showroom).

The bright spot, though, is the claimed range of 240km on a single charge, making the new product noteworthy.However, the current S1 electric scooter is still on sale and can be used for ¥85,000 (ex-showroom).

The iVoomi S1 240 electric scooter is the top-spec version with a promised range of 240km (IDC). The model comes with a 4.2 kWh dual battery pack and is paired with a 2.5 kW electric motor (3.3 bhp) for extra torque. In comparison, the entry-level S1 80 electric scooter is equipped with a 1.5 kWh battery pack and can travel 80 kilometers on a single charge (IDC). The S1 80 also features a hub-mounted 2.5 kW electric motor and is claimed to have a top speed of 55 kmph. All variants feature three riding modes – Eco, Rider and Sport. Color options include – Peacock Blue, Night Maroon and Dark Black.

According to IDC, the S1 240 has a range of 240 kilometers, is equipped with a 4.2 kWh twin battery pack and is powered by a 2.5 kW electric motor with extra torque. While the S1 80 has reduced hardware and specs compared to the S1, it uses a 1.5 kWh battery pack and has an IDC range of 80km. The S1 80 is powered by a 2.5kW hub-mounted electric motor and is claimed to have a top speed of 55km/h. All models of the S1 feature three riding modes: Eco, Rider and Sport. The model also has a new Find My Ride feature enabled with a GPS tracker and monitoring system.

iVoomi Energy will begin selling the new S1 range of electric scooters across its dealer network on December 1, 2022. The company has partnered with financial institutions to offer convenient financing options of up to 100% of the on-road price. The manufacturer also announced plans to expand its presence in the southern region of the country and will offer its full range by the end of the year.
