Yamaha recently introduced an updated line of motorcycles. The R15M is the most expensive motorcycle Yamaha currently sells, and one of the most popular in the manufacturer’s lineup. One of the Yamaha R15M’s indirect competitors is the KTM RC 125, which competes directly in terms of pricing. Here is a comparison between the two motorcycles.

As far as looks go, both motorcycles look like little siblings to their cousins. The R15M was inspired by the R6’s design, while the RC 125 looks like a stripped-down version of the RC 390.

In terms of engine, the RC 125 is equipped with a 124.9cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. It produces 14.3 bhp at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque output of 12 Nm at 8,000 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The R15M is powered by a liquid-cooled 4-stroke SOHC 4-valve engine with VVA technology. It produces 18.14 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 14.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox with quickshifter.

The Yamaha R15M is equipped with a TFT screen for Bluetooth connectivity, traction control and LED headlights and taillights with LED DRLs. Two riding modes are also available, street and track. The RC 125, on the other hand, comes with an LCD instrument cluster, LED taillights and halogen headlights.
