Upcoming LML distributors will be part of the first phase of the company’s expansion. Dealers have planned to adopt a dealer-owned dealership-operated (DODO) model, which would see dealerships accountable both as owners of the electric vehicle manufacturer and operators of experience centers. Yogesh Bhatia, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, LML, said: “The electric vehicle industry has witnessed tremendous growth and is sure to continue to thrive in the future. Electric vehicles (EVs) are an eco-friendly option to prevent climate change, and we LML is committed to accelerating the progress of the EV revolution by recruiting the right dealers who have a future vision to make EVs mainstream in India.”

LML calls the Star a “mid-size scooter.” With a black-and-white two-tone theme and red accents, the electric scooter looks futuristic. It will feature LED projector headlamps and LED daytime running lights. The scooter will also feature 360-degree cameras, haptic feedback and LED lighting.

The LML Star has many unique features that set it apart from other electric scooters currently available in the Indian market. It has customizable screens behind the front apron. It will also offer wireless charging, ambient lighting and digital screens. Other features on offer include tire pressure monitoring system, hill assist, reverse mode and ABS. The electric scooter will also offer decent storage space under the seat, while the removable battery pack will be placed in the footrests, helping to lower the center of gravity.

LML has not revealed details about the battery size and specifications. There are no details on what range LM Star will offer. More details about the scooter are expected to be revealed before the official launch in the coming months.
