Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch its first electric vehicle – the eVX concept electric SUV – in 2025. Ahead of its much-anticipated launch, the electric car was tested in all-black camouflage in Europe. Maruti Suzuki showcased the eVX concept at the Auto Expo 2023 earlier this year. This is the first time the electric SUV has been on the road since its global launch in January.

A test mule of the Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept has been spotted testing on the streets of Krakow, Poland. Unlike the prototypes shown during the Auto Expo, the test unit has different alloy wheels and a near-production look. Apparently, there isn’t much difference between the concept version and the beta version spotted in Poland.

The Maruti Suzuki eVX electric concept SUV will be the company’s first globally strategic electric vehicle. It’s a small compact car, about the same size as Maruti’s flagship SUV, the Brezza. Maruti Suzuki says the concept model will measure 4,300mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,600mm in height. The production version is expected to be similar in size.

Designed for personal mobility in the city, this electric vehicle has the mighty Suzuki 4×4 capability. The concept version shown during the auto show features Suzuki’s signature SUV design, featuring an aerodynamic profile, long wheelbase, short overhangs and optimum ground clearance.

Not much is known about the upcoming eVX electric SUV. The automaker confirmed earlier that the EV will feature a 60kWh battery pack. Upon launch, the Maruti Suzuki eVX EV should be able to offer a driving range of up to 550 km on a single charge.

Maruti Suzuki also confirmed that the eVX Concept’s dedicated electric vehicle platform will provide safe battery technology. It is designed to provide a comfortable cabin with a variety of connectivity features.
