According to reports, Maserati CEO Davide Grasso said that the upcoming pure electric Quattroporte president series will adopt a subversive design. However, despite the notable update to the design, the car will remain a Maserati like no other. While Grasso didn’t reveal many details about the Maserati Quattroporte EV, its design language is similar to that of the new Granturismo and Grecale.

The Maserati chief executive believes the electric car will play a key role in the brand’s goal of becoming a premium luxury automaker rather than an executive car brand. Turning to the pricing strategy, Maserati CEO Grasso said the brand’s cars aren’t for everyone. “We’re choosing not to do that. As a luxury brand, you choose what not to do first and then what to do. performance and luxury experience at the service of people,” he added.

The Maserati Quattroporte EV will reportedly feature the STLA Medium architecture, which houses a powertrain capable of producing more than 1,000 peak horsepower. Additionally, the Quattroporte EV is expected to have a range of more than 482 kilometers and will be equipped with AWD as standard.

The report says the Maserati Quattroporte EV will be unveiled in the fourth quarter of 2023, with deliveries set to begin in early-to-mid-2024. However, it’s unclear whether Maserati will sell a conventional combustion engine-powered variant of the Quattroporte alongside the BEV.
