2023 Mazda 2 Update

The Mazda 2 supermini has received a styling makeover as part of a mid-life overhaul.

The updated 2023 Mazda 2 gets revised trim levels in addition to sporting a new, sportier look.

New exterior colors and a refreshed interior bring changes to the compact car that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014.

2023 Mazda 2 Update

The main change for the 2023 Mazda2 is a revised front grille that mirrors the design of newer models like the CX-60 SUV. Mazda’s ‘signature wing’ shape now extends below the number plate, giving the front bumper a more dynamic look.

The revised Mazda2 range includes four new trim levels: Centre-Line, Homura, Exclusive-Line and Homura Aka. Both Centre-Line and Exclusive-Line models have a bespoke front bumper incorporating a yellow trim tab in the front grille.

The range-topping Homura Aka model gets a black honeycomb front grille with red accents and black mirror caps. A gloss black roof is also standard, as is a set of 16-inch black and silver machined alloy wheels.

Mazda has added Aero Gray and Air Stream Blue to the supermini’s paint color options. The brand’s signature Soul Red crystal is also still available.

2023 Mazda 2 Update

Strong standard specification remains a part of the Mazda2 lineup. Satellite navigation, cruise control, wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity and climate-controlled air conditioning are available on all versions.

Mazda is keeping the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine unchanged for the 2023 update. That means there is a choice of the same 75hp, 90hp and 115hp power outputs, with a six-speed manual transmission as standard. The automatic transmission remains optional for the 90hp and 115hp versions.

Prices for the updated Mazda 2 start from £17,750 and customers can place orders from late spring. The Mazda 2 Hybrid, derived from the Toyota Yaris, will continue to be sold as a separate model.
