The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV will make its debut next month at the Shanghai Auto Show in China on April 17. The German luxury car brand has teased the SUV ahead of its launch in China. The SUV is the first all-electric vehicle from the Mercedes-Benz Maybach division. The sole teaser image doesn’t reveal much about the car, but with spy shots already leaking, there aren’t many mysteries surrounding the EV.
The teaser image hints that the upcoming electric SUV will be a large model. It is expected to look very similar to the non-Maybach EQS SUV. It will get glossy chrome trim around the greenhouse. The Maybach-badged EQS SUV will have a stylish styling similar to other luxury Mercedes vehicles.

It gets vertical slats in the lower bumper opening, similar to the grille seen on the Maybach S-Class and GLS. The SUV has a hood trim not seen on the EV under the sheet in the teaser image.
Expect the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV to shine as brightly inside as it does outside. Expect the automaker to stuff the Maybach models with the best materials and every technology possible. Expect it to have only two seats in the second row to maximize occupant comfort.
Talking about powertrain details, the upcoming SUV is expected to get more power under its hood compared to the EQS 580 SUV. The EQS 580 EV will feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup capable of producing around 536 hp of peak power and 858 Nm of torque. The EQS 580 is capable of the 0-96 km/h sprint in 4.6 seconds. The upcoming EQS 680 is expected to achieve that goal in a similar time frame. Thanks to its 107.8 kWh battery pack, the EQS 580 can travel around 458 kilometers on a single charge.
