The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 electric SUV will feature all-wheel drive and be powered by two electric motors. It will be able to produce a maximum power of nearly 650 horsepower and a peak torque of 950 Nm. It’s more powerful than the EQS 580 SUV, which makes 544 horsepower and 858 Nm of torque. The AMG EQS 53 sedan is more powerful, though, with an output of 761 horsepower. The electric SUV has a top speed of 210 km/h and sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 electric SUV will offer several driving modes including Eco, Sport, OffRoad and Individual. Mercedes will offer a Maybach driver, replacing the classic Comfort mode.

The electric SUV can travel 600 kilometers on a single charge. Mercedes says the EQS 680 will be equipped with a 22 kW on-board charger that supports up to 200 kW DC fast charging. The German auto giant claims that using a fast charger, the Maybach EQS 680 SUV will be able to fully charge in about half an hour.

In terms of dimensions, the Maybach EQS 680 electric SUV measures 5,125mm long, 2,034mm wide and 1,725mm high. It has a wheelbase of 3,210 millimeters.

In terms of appearance, the Maybach EQS is equipped with the iconic black grille and 3D vertical chrome trim on the front. There’s Maybach badging on the chrome trim, which joins the standard digital-light headlight strip. On the side, the electric SUV sports Maybach badges on the D-pillars and EQS lettering on the front windows. It flanks large wheel arches housing 21- or 22-inch alloy and forged wheels. At the back, it has an LED strip, which is also animated.

The cabin of the electric SUV is luxurious. It has a large cabin with two rows of seats. It’s offered in a three-seat regular configuration at the rear or a two-recliner setup with the “First Class Rear” executive seating package. The seats, familiar to any Maybach S-Class, feature massage functions and lie almost flat. There are power blinds and rear-seat controls for the car’s various infotainment and comfort functions, plus there’s a refrigerator, which can now be removed for easy stowage.
