MG-BPCL inaugurates 12 DC fast chargers for EVs in Delhi-Jalandhar corridor

MG Motor India and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) have opened 12 DC fast charging stations in the Delhi-Jalandhar corridor. The 12 DC fast charging piles are about 100 kilometers apart, distributed on both sides of the expressway. This is the first of many such efforts under a partnership between MG and BPCL that plans to build more charging stations later this year.

MG Motor India also announced that ZS EV owners will get a discounted experience at BPCL stations along with discounted charging rates. Customers can find charging stations via the MG dashboard or the MyMG app. However, payment will be made through the HelloBPCL mobile application.

Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG Motor India, said: “Since the launch of the ZS EV in 2020, MG has been at the forefront of the development of a strong electric vehicle ecosystem. MG Motor India said it has installed more than 8,000 EV chargers across the country. The automaker has installed AC and DC chargers and is promising customers a six-way charging ecosystem. This includes a free AC fast charger at the owner’s home/office, extended charging network, plugs and charger cables, mobile charging with roadside assistance and community chargers.
