The MG Comet EV’s floating screen is reminiscent of those seen on Mercedes-Benz cars and even the Mahindra XUV700. The infotainment system on the left comes with widgets of different sizes, while there will be three fully customizable packages as well as designing the user interface according to the customer’s preferences. The system will combine entertainment, navigation and connectivity functions. MG Motor India further revealed that the infotainment system will also come with features like voice commands to allow drivers to easily access certain functions without distraction.

Many of these controls can also be operated via the iPod-like steering-mounted controls visible in the image. The interior images also show the HVAC unit, which has dials for all three functions. The slender air vents also add a nice touch, considering the car’s small proportions.

The MG Comet EV will be the brand’s most affordable EV in India and will take on the Tata Tiago EV on arrival. The model will feature a 17.3 kWh battery pack with a range of about 250 kilometers on a single charge. It will get two driving modes – Normal and Sport – while the top speed will be limited to 100km/h. The two-door Comet is designed for urban needs and is mainly used as a city car. The Comet EV is expected to go on sale on April 19, 2023.
