A test mule in Vadodara has spotted what appears to be a three-door model. The EV will likely feature a light bar that extends the full width of the rear connecting the two taillights. It also gets rectangular fog lights and body-colored bumpers.

The upcoming MG EV will be a facelift of the Wuling Air EV. It might be the smallest car on Indian roads as it measures 2,900mm in length. The Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Tata Nano measure 3,445mm and 3,099mm in length respectively.

The upcoming MG EV is expected to have a range of 200km to 300km on a single charge. This will make the car very competitive against rivals like the Tata Tiago EV and Tata Tigor EV. The upcoming MG ZS EV is expected to draw power from a 20-25 kWh battery pack and a single front axle-mounted electric motor with an output of around 68 hp.

The MG Air EV is expected to be equipped with several features. The car will feature a dual-display touchscreen infotainment system consisting of two 10.25-inch panels powered by voice commands, much like the Mercedes-Benz GLA.

While the upcoming MG Air EV will be smaller than the Tata Nano, it’s unlikely to cost less than the ¥1000000. However, it could be priced competitively to undercut the price of the Tata Tiago EV, currently the most affordable EV in India.
