MG ZS EV has driven 190 million kilometers in total and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 27 million kilograms

MG Motor India has announced that its ZS electric vehicles have driven more than 190 million kilometers, helping to avoid 27 million kilograms of CO2 emissions, or an average of 144.9 grams of CO2 per kilometer. With this feat, the automaker reaffirmed its commitment to improving the environment. It fits with this goal of reducing carbon footprint and easing urban traffic.

MG ZS EV claims to offer a range of 461 kilometers on a single charge.

The MG ZS EV is equipped with the largest segmented 50.3kWH premium battery pack, which is claimed to provide a range of 461 kilometers on a single charge. It is equipped with a powerful electric motor that can provide a power output of 176PS and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds. Electric SUVs are equipped with prismatic batteries that have high energy density and provide better range and longevity.

The automaker offers a pure electric SUV with six charging options – DC super fast charger, AC fast charger, AC fast charger at MG dealers, portable charger with ZS EV, 24X7 for mobile charging support RSA and the MG Charge Initiative, an initiative with the goal of installing 1,000 AC fast chargers in community spaces across the country within 1,000 days. The initiative aims to strengthen electric vehicle charging infrastructure across India.

To encourage its customers to purchase EVs and ease ownership of such battery-powered vehicles, the company installs AC fast chargers at the home or office of ZS EV owners free of charge.

Recently, the automaker achieved the milestone of selling 10,000 ZS EVs in the country. The electric car was first launched here in late 2019, followed by an updated version in March 2022.The vehicle is available in two variants – Excite and Exclusive, priced at ¥23,38,000 and 27,29,800 respectively.
