Bajaj Auto and KTM’s partnership has achieved a major milestone as the millionth KTM motorcycle rolls off the assembly line at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan manufacturing plant in Maharashtra. The millionth motorcycle launched was the KTM 390 Adventure in the presence of Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director & CEO of Bajaj Auto and Stefan Pierer Pierer Mobility AG.
Bajaj and KTM entered into a partnership in 2008 and the first model made in India was the KTM 200 Duke in 2012. Over the next decade, India became the global production hub for the KTM 125-373 cc range, which was sold globally as well as in India. Notably, it took KTM less than half the time to reach the second half lakh mark, which shows the faster adoption of the brand not only globally but also in India.
