Electric vehicle brand Motovolt on Thursday unveiled its M7 multi-purpose electric scooter for the first time at the Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida. The scooter is manufactured using engineering solutions and can be customized according to the rider’s requirements. It has a purpose-built storage space for bulk cargo and increased strength and load-carrying capacity, giving it a secure stance.
The M7 electric scooter has a removable rear seat, as well as two removable and easy-to-carry batteries, each weighing about 10kg. The e-scooters will connect to the Motovolt app, providing riders with a seamless experience.

Customers can choose to pre-purchase the e-scooters or purchase them through a subscription model, making their cost of ownership lower than existing options on the market. The company is also considering an industry-first unlimited battery life facility for end users.
The battery of the Motovolt M7 electric scooter is AIS 156 Stage 2 compliant and claims to be completely fireproof. It raises the safety factor of EVs given the recent safety concerns surrounding EV batteries. The scooter’s swappable battery also helps it serve multiple use cases.
Electric startup – Motovolt – recently raised funding ¥Dubai-based family office Wami Capital, JK Family’s VikrampatiSinghania, and others creating mobility solutions for Indian commuters have raised $160 million in Series A funding. By the end of FY22-23, the company plans to grow its distribution business from more than 100 physical touchpoints currently to more than 250.
The launch of the M7 electric scooter is a step in that direction, the company said. “With this electric scooter, we want to introduce a safe, affordable and versatile commuting solution for riders. Its modularity enhances the ride experience because of the features Can be repurposed to suit various use cases in a centralized fashion. “
