MS Dhoni, a former Indian cricketer and the team’s World Cup-winning captain, is a well-known car enthusiast. He has several two and four wheelers in his collection. He owns vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, Land Rover 3 and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, and an enviable list of bikes such as the Confederate Hellcat X32, Yamaha RD350, Harley-Davidson Fatboy, BSA Goldstar, Kawasaki Ninja ZX14R and Kawasaki Ninja H2.
Now, MS Dhoni has taken delivery of the new TVS Ronin. It is worth noting that MS Dhoni is the brand ambassador for TVS Star City and he also received the Apache RR 310 last year.
The Ronin is powered by a 225.9 cc single cylinder engine that is air-oil cooled. It produces 20 bhp at 7,750 rpm and a peak torque output of 19.93 Nm at 3,750 rpm. It is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox with slip and assist functions.
The engine is very smooth in the low rev range and delivers power in a linear fashion. However, as the revs climbed, the vibrations started to creep in. The transmission is a very smooth unit, and the clutch action is light as well. The Ronin is a decent city bike, as the engine has low-end punch, but starts to wheeze on the highway.

In terms of features, this motorcycle comes with all LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster with adjustable brightness, two ABS modes – city and rain, silent starter, Bluetooth connectivity, Glide Through Tech and adjustable brake and clutch levers .
Suspension duties for the TVS Ronin are handled by a 41mm USD fork from Showa at the front, while at the rear, there is only a monoshock. The damping on the motorcycle is well done. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm disc at the front and a 240mm monoshock at the rear.
