The new Dacia Jogger Hybrid will be the brand’s first hybrid and is available to order now, with prices starting from £22,595.
Called the Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140, the new seven-seater combines a gasoline engine, two electric motors and a compact battery.
The 1.6-litre engine produces 90hp, while two electric motors (a 50hp drive motor and a high-voltage starter/generator) deliver up to 140hp.
This enables 0-62mph acceleration in 10.1 seconds with the help of the standard automatic transmission.
The new Dacia Jogger Hybrid’s 1.2kWh battery is a ‘self-charging’ type, so it doesn’t need to be plugged in.
Even so, Dacia estimates it will spend up to 80 percent of its time driving in pure electric mode in cities.
It also improves fuel economy by 40 per cent, with an official average figure of 56.5mpg and CO2 emissions of 112g/km.
First deliveries of the new Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 will take place in the UK in the second quarter of 2023.
Dacia’s first hybrid
The new Dacia Jogger Hybrid is the company’s first electric model. It shares hybrid technology with parent brand Renault – it’s the same system used in the Renault Clio E-Tech Hybrid.
Impressively, its compact nature means the Jogger retains its seven-seat capacity. There is no reduction in load capacity or passenger space.
The only differences from the regular Jogger are the 7.0-inch electronic instrument display and, of course, the automatic transmission.
Dacia Jogger Hybrid price
The new Dacia Jogger Hybrid will be offered in two trims, Expression and SE.
The Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 Expression costs £22,595 and includes climate-controlled air conditioning, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, keyless entry and an 8.0-inch touchscreen media display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 Extreme SE adds 16-inch black alloys, heated front seats, a rear sliding tray table and an 8.0-inch MediaNav infotainment system with built-in sat-nav.
Metallic paint is optional, and the Dacia Jogger Hybrid is available in a unique Shadow Gray metallic.
Dacia also revealed a PCP deal – the Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 Expression is just £267 a month with a £2,812 deposit.
This is a four-year PCP deal at 7.9% p.a. with a final final payment of £11,985.
