Oben Rorr electric motorcycle deliveries to begin in early July; 21,000 pre-orders received


Indian electric two-wheeler startup Oben Electric will start delivering its Rorr electric motorcycle in the first week of July. Deliveries will start from the company’s first experience center in its home market of Bengaluru. Meanwhile, the company is said to have a distribution network in major cities that will help fulfill 21,000 pre-orders for the electric scooter.

Oben Rorr electric motorcycle priced at Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom, after subsidy)

Auburn Roll sells for $Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom after subsidy), a competitor to Tork Kratos R, Hop Oxo, Revolt RV400 and others in the electric motorcycle segment. The bike is designed and developed entirely in-house with over 95% localization and the company has been awarded more than 21 patents. Powered by a PMS motor with a peak power of 10 kW (13.4 bhp), the electric motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 3 seconds. Top speed is limited to 100 km/h.

Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, commenting on the commencement of deliveries, said: “We are delighted that our customers have shown trust in this product and created high demand. Oben Electric is committed to providing customers with best-in-class The product.”

The highlight of the Rorr electric motorcycle is its charging time of just 2 hours. This is thanks to the company’s self-developed charging technology that optimizes home charging instead of using fast charging technology. This helps the 4.4 kWh battery cover a full range of 187 kilometers (IDC) in just 120 minutes. Other notable details of the e-bike include telescoping front forks, rear monoshock, disc brakes at both ends, digital console and three color options.

Auburn Electric recently proposed $The company, which invested Rs 40 crore in the latest investment round, said it would expand its production facilities to produce 100,000 vehicles a year, in addition to retail expansion and distribution. The company said it has a 360-degree research and development roadmap, which includes developing and testing prototypes for a second set of products, which it plans to launch in 2024.
