Ola Electric announced on Friday that the purchase window for its S1 Air electric scooter will open from July 28. Deliveries of the Ola S1 Air will start in early August, the company added.
The Ola S1 Air is a highly anticipated model, especially because of its relatively low price tag, not only compared to the competition, but also compared to other Ola electric scooter versions. Members of the Ola community can book even before July 28 and can look forward to the following benefits, the company said: $109,000 (ex-showroom).The limited purchase window will remain open July 28-30, and those who purchase after that will be required to pay a fee $The scooter is worth Rs 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom).

At its heart, the Ola S1 Air features a smaller 3 kWh battery pack that is said to have a range of around 125 kilometers per charge. It has a top speed of 90 km/h. While these numbers might not be as impressive as the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro, it’s worth noting that the company is looking to capture a larger market share with more affordable versions. “Our goal with the S1 Air has always been to make the EV revolution in India accessible to everyone. The success of the S1 and S1 Pro has brought EVs mainstream in the country,” an Ola spokesperson said in a press statement issued by the company.
