Ola Electric said in its statement that our initial investigation and analysis of the recent incident indicated that this was a high impact road accident. We are in touch with the client and have provided all necessary support to the family. We are happy to report that the rider is safe and recovering. At Ola, vehicle safety and quality standards are top priorities. The Ola S1 Pro is built with no compromise on quality in every aspect and has been rigorously tested over 5 million kilometers in challenging terrain and in all weather conditions. “

Pawar posted a follow-up tweet on January 25, thanking Ola’s service and customer support team for their prompt response. Tweeted: “Last week my wife was tragically involved in a car accident. She is much better now. Thanks to everyone who came out to support me. Special thanks to the @OlaElectric service and customer support team for their responsiveness and continued support during our difficult time and sympathy.”

Ola Electric also admitted that there were previous customer complaints that the front wishbone broke, which led to the accident. Although the company calls them isolated cases.

“With more than 150,000 vehicles on the road, we have observed this in extremely isolated cases of high-impact accidents involving front wishbones, which are designed to be 80% safer than the typical loads encountered by the vehicle,” Statement for further reading.

Additionally, Ola Electric has invited its customers to conduct inspections of its service network for any potential issues.

“We sincerely urge everyone to strictly follow road safety protocols, always wear a quality helmet, and refrain from riding on public roads without a valid driver’s license,” Ola wrote in closing the statement.
