Ola Electric scooters are more expensive after FAME II subsidy reduction.Check new price


Ola Electric has increased the prices of its S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters.The maker of electric two-wheelers, currently the top-selling electric two-wheeler, raised prices on both models by at least ¥15,000. The price increase comes days after the center decided to reduce the subsidy rate under the FAME II scheme to just 15 percent from this month. The decision is expected to trigger further price adjustments by other EV makers soon.

Ola Electric has increased the prices of its S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters starting in June.

According to the official website of Ola Electric, the price of the S1 electric scooter will be ¥130,000 (ex-showroom).The same model is used for cost ¥115,000 to May. Ola offers the S1 electric scooter with a 3 kWh battery pack. A single charge provides a certified range of approximately 141 kilometers.

The EV maker’s flagship electric scooter Ola S1 Pro is now on sale ¥140,000 (ex-showroom), increase ¥15,000 from its earlier price ¥125,000. The S1 Pro electric scooter is equipped with a larger 4 kWh battery pack, which can provide a range of up to 181 kilometers on a single charge. It can also offer a top speed of up to 116 km/h.

Ola Electric also launched a third model called the S1 Air. The Ola S1 Air electric scooter is available in three models priced from ¥85,000. The mid-range and high-end models of the S1 Air are priced at ¥100,000 and ¥110,000 respectively (ex-showroom). Starting next month, the electric scooters will begin shipping to customers. It comes with the same 3 kWh battery pack as the S1 model. However, the S1 Air offers a range of up to 125km on a single charge, about 16km less than the S1. It also has a top speed of 85 km/h, about 10 km/h lower than the S1 model.
