India’s leading manufacturer of electric two-wheelers, Ola Electric, is ready to offer its third model – the S1 Air – to customers from this month. The electric carmaker has announced that the S1 Air’s purchase window will be open between July 28 and July 30 for those who have already pre-ordered it. For the rest, Ola Electric will open the purchase window from July 31. The introductory price of the S1 Air is $109,000 (ex-showroom).How much do electric scooters cost $119,000 (ex-showroom) after introductory offers. Delivery of the Ola S1 Air will start in early August.
The Ola S1 Air electric scooter will be the most affordable model in the electric carmaker’s lineup, which also includes models like the S1 and S1 Pro. Ola Electric originally launched the S1 Air scooter in October last year. The 2022 S1 Air isn’t on the road as Ola has updated the version with changes to the battery and other features. Here’s what electric scooters offer right now.
The Ola S2 Air electric scooter will be equipped with a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Ola claims that the battery is enough to power the e-scooters for 125 kilometers without needing to be plugged into a power source. The range is less than that of the S1 or S1 Pro.
The Ola S1 Air will feature hub motors instead of the belt drive used on the S1 and S1 Pro. Dubbed the Ola Hyperdrive Motor, the hub motor has the potential to increase the power output of the electric scooter up to 6 bhp. The S1 Air will also come with three riding modes including Eco, Normal and Sport. According to Ola Electric, the S1 Air can reach a top speed of 90 km/h.
The Ola S1 Air will also come with MoveOS 3, the latest software from the electric car maker. Some of the features that MoveOS 3 offers are emotions, document storage, wifi connectivity, fall detection, halo lights, hazard lights, and proximity.

The S1 Air electric scooter will come with full LED headlights, 7-inch digital instrument console, side stand alert, reverse mode, OTA updates, smartphone connectivity, GPS navigation and remote start unlock. The S1 Air will have slightly less luggage space at 34 liters compared to the 36 liters offered in the S1 and S1 Pro.
Ola Electric will be offering the S1 Air electric scooter in five exterior colors to choose from. These include Coral, Jet Black, Liquid Silver, Neo Mint and Porcelain White.
