The EV-Yatra app allows Charge Point Operators (CPOs) to register on the platform and record details in the national online database. This will essentially help EV users easily find nearby public EV charging stations. The app will be able to provide details such as the type of chargers installed at the station, availability of charging slots, EV charging rates, services and more.

Users can also book charging slots using the EV-Yatra app. It is available for download on Google PlayStore and Apple Store and is compatible with most smartphones. The app is currently available in English and Hindi.

Governments have been rapidly promoting electric vehicle adoption, and a strong public charging infrastructure will only fuel this growth. In a recent statement, Minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) Nitin Gadkari said that there are approximately 5,151 public charging stations for electric vehicles in the country. By comparison, there are about 1.8 million registered electric vehicles on the road. Karnataka has about 698 charging stations, Maharashtra has about 660 charging stations and Delhi has 539 EV charging stations. Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Maharashtra are the largest EV markets in India.
